Yukon Film Society is seeking qualified individuals to join our Board of Directors. Operating as a non-profit, the Society’s mission is to foster a thriving community for audiences and artists to explore, create and connect through film and media arts. Applicants are asked to submit an expression of interest and a short bio by June 25. Nominations will be confirmed by June 27 with the vote for Board members being conducted at the AGM on July 2.
Ideal Skills/Background (any of the following):
Business management
Financial management/bookkeeping
Filmmaking
Previous NGO board experience
Human resources knowledge
Non-profit governance
We’re looking for volunteers with experience in business management, financial oversight, filmmaking, human resources, board governance, or who simply love theatre and the arts. Previous experience on an NGO board is a plus. We welcome candidates of all ages, genders, and ethnocultural backgrounds from across the territory.
Board members are expected to attend one meeting per month, occasional events and training sessions, and to volunteer periodically. Some board members also contribute by serving on a sub-committee suited to their skills and interests.
– 1 monthly board meeting
