We are seeking passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a board member, you will play a crucial role in guiding the organization’s strategic direction, supporting non-profits across Yukon, and helping foster a vibrant volunteer community. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your leadership and governance skills.
As a board member, you will:
Attend and actively participate in monthly board meetings
Review and approve organizational policies, budgets, and plans
Provide guidance and oversight to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission
Contribute to strategic discussions and decision-making
Participate in governance and policy development as needed
Assist in the recruitment and orientation of new board members
We welcome individuals with a range of skills and experiences. Ideal candidates will have:
Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
Interest in Yukon’s non-profit and volunteer sector
Experience in any of the following areas is an asset:
Governance or board experience
Strategic planning
Financial management or fundraising
Policy development
Marketing and communications
No prior board experience is required—just a willingness to learn and a passion for community impact!
2-4 hours per month for regular board meetings
Occasional involvement in events, fundraisers, or committee work
