The Opportunity
CMHA Yukon is seeking passionate and committed individuals to join our board of directors. As a volunteer board member, you will help guide the strategic direction, governance and sustainability of the organization while supporting our mission to build a mentally healthy Yukon.
Provide strategic oversight and contribute to organizational planning
Ensure strong governance, accountability and financial stewardship
Support and evaluate the Executive Director
Act as ambassadors for CMHA Yukon within the community
Participate in board meetings, committees, and key events.
Who We’re Looking For
We are actively seeking to strengthen the diversity and perspectives on our board. We strongly encourage applications from:
– Individuals with lived experience of mental health and or substance use challenges
– Indigenous peoples including First Nations, Inuit and Metis individuals
– People with professional experience in:
– Finance, accounting or auditing
– Law
– Supported housing, housing services, or homelessness response
We also welcome applicants with experience in governance, nonprofit leadership, community advocacy, or healthcare.
