ElderActive is seeking engaged and community-minded individuals to join our Board of Directors. Board members help provide strategic leadership, governance and oversight while supporting our mission to enhance the lives of Yukon seniors through recreation designed to develop and maintain health and wellness in body, mind and spirit.
Provide strategic direction and support ElderActive’s mission and long term goals.
Participate in monthly Board Meetings, discussions and decision-making.
Provide oversight of organizational finances, policies and governance.
Support fundraising, community engagement and membership growth initiatives.
Work collaboratively with fellow Board members and staff.
We are looking for people who bring diverse skills, perspectives, community connections, and a passion for making a difference, Previous board experience is not required – just a willingness to contribute, collaborate and help shape the future of ElderActive.
Board members should be voting members of ElderActive Recreation.
Monthly Board meeting are 2 hours per month.
