Volunteer Bénévoles Yukon is seeking a Lead Volunteer Event Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of the 2025 Education, Career and Volunteer Expo. This role involves assisting with exhibitor and volunteer logistics, coordinating on-site support, and ensuring the event runs smoothly. You will work closely with the Executive Director and the organizing committee and take an active role on event day at Yukon University.
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
Ability to multitask and coordinate activities in a fast-paced setting
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Previous experience in event planning, volunteer coordination, or logistics is an asset
Digital marketing and graphic design skills are a strong asset
Suitable for individuals interested in gaining real-world event management experience
Assist with pre-event planning and volunteer coordination
Lead and support a team of Expo volunteers during setup, event operations, and takedown
Provide assistance to exhibitors and attendees as needed
Help manage registration, wayfinding, and information desk activities
Monitor event flow and respond to on-site needs or issues
Participate in post-event debrief and provide feedback
Flexible hours in August–September for planning, training, and preparation
Must be able to attend one-hour monthly meetings with partner organizations, typically held in the morning
4–6 hour shift on event day between 8:00am–5:00pm
