Whitehorse Pride Parade and Pride Picnic

Whitehorse, Main Street and Rotary Park

Task Description

The annual Whitehorse Pride Parade will take place on Saturday, August 2nd at 1:00pm, ending at Rotary Park for a Pride Gathering. We are looking for volunteers to help with barricades during the parade, and then at the gathering afterwards.

Responsibilities

You can choose from one of the below (or more):
– Barricades during parade (12:45pm-1:30pm) – standing at barricades making sure traffic does not go through, and then placing to the side when safe.
– Floater at Rotary Park Pride Picnic (1:00pm-2:30pm)- helping out, cleaning up
– Floater at Rotary Park Pride Picnic (2:30pm-4:00pm)- helping out, cleaning up
-Food table (1:00pm-2:30pm) – handing out food, replenishing
– Food table (2:30pm-4:00pm) – handing out food, replenishing
– Clean up staff (3:30 pm-4:30 pm)- helping clean and pack up after the Pride Picnic

Time Commitment

1.5 -3.5 hours – depending on your preference.
