Task Description

The Seniors’ Home & Yard Maintenance Program is a referral program matching workers with seniors. The program is looking for workers who are interested in helping a senior in their home.
We have various types of Jobs: Handy person (odd jobs), Cutting Grass and/or gardening, House Cleaning, Splitting & Stacking Wood, Snow Shovelling, Packing/Unpacking, Window Washing, Just to name a few.

Skills Needed

Previous experience with one or more of the various job types: Cleaning, Handy person (odd jobs), Cutting Grass and/or gardening, Splitting & Stacking Wood, Snow Shovelling, Packing/Unpacking, Window Washing, just to name a few.
Must have a clean Vulnerable Sector Check completed by the RCMP, forms are available at our office.

Responsibilities

Assisting Seniors in their homes and/or yards

Time Commitment

As needed.
Scheduling is flexible and can be arranged at a time that’s convenient for both the senior and the worker.

Incentive for the Volunteer

Flexible hours, meaningful work and the chance to connect with seniors in the Yukon.
Our recommended rate is $30.00 per hour; however, the price, time-frame, and details for each job is negotiated directly between the Senior and the Worker
